Dr. Fred L. Cohen, M.D., J.D., is a member of Gary Roberts & Associates and concurrently is a practicing Board Certified Neurosurgeon. Dr. Cohen is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residencies at Boston University Hospital, SUNY Upstate Medical Center, and became the Chief Resident of Upstate Veterans' Administration Hospital in 1975. He has an active staff appointment at St. Mary's Hospital and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

While practicing neurosurgery, Dr. Cohen attended Nova Southeastern University School of Law and graduated in June of 1999. Dr. Cohen has been an attorney with Gary Roberts and Associates since then. Dr. Cohen was the Chairman of the Animal Law Committee of the Florida Bar between 2004 and 2008. He is a member of a number of professional societies, including the Florida Society of Healthcare Risk Managers; The American Hospital Association for Healthcare Risk Management; The American College of Legal Medicine; and The Animal Legal Defense Fund.

Dr. Cohen actively litigates cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death on behalf of victims. These cases include severe vehicular collisions, product liability and medical negligence.
